At the end of 2019, the government amended the federal physician self-referral law (Stark Law). While the industry has been focused on the new value-based care exceptions and the clarified definitions we all know so well, there were also changes made to compensation under the group practice definition. The updates, effective January 2022, offer clinics, physician groups, and care providers greater flexibility in compensating practitioners for providing high-quality and efficient patient care.
