Lutz Announces 2022 Director Promotions

Lutz, a Nebraska-based business solutions firm, recently announced its director promotions for 2022.

Merrick Aurora has been promoted to Director of Marketing. Since joining the firm, she has been pivotal in every area of marketing and has done a remarkable job in driving growth through branding for all Lutz offices and divisions. Merrick is responsible for developing and implementing Lutz’s marketing strategy, projects related to client experience, overseeing the marketing team, and managing internal and external branding efforts. She works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

Jaime Briganti has been promoted to Client Service Director in the Financial division. She currently leads all aspects of client service and is integral in developing new staff. Jaime specializes in implementing internal policies and procedures regarding operational activities and compliance. In addition, she is responsible for managing the client service team and assists advisers with sales efforts. She works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

Tony DeSantis has been promoted to Data Analytics Director in Lutz’s Tech division. Building the Data Analytics offering from scratch, Tony and his team have dramatically impacted many clients, helping them discover critical insights and navigate ways to implement change that affects their bottom line. Tony is responsible for connecting, designing report visuals, interpreting, analyzing data, and consulting with customers. In addition, he specializes in data management and the application of artificial intelligence to simplify business processes.

Lauren Duren, CPA, has been promoted to Client Accounting Services + Healthcare Director. She exemplifies the firm’s stance on the commitment to customer service through her quality technical support and proactive client approach. In addition, she has played an integral role in bringing expertise and specialized services to clients in the healthcare industry. Lauren provides consulting and outsourced accounting services to corporations, partnerships, and independent medical and dental practices. She works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

Bryan Frew, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Director in Lutz’s Hastings office. He has strong technical capabilities, provides unique planning opportunities to clients, and has made his mark through excellent customer service. In addition, he has extensive knowledge in estate and trust compliance. Bryan is responsible for providing tax consulting and compliance services to clients with a focus on trusts, estates, and medical practices.

Steve Guenther has been promoted to Talent Director in Lutz’s Omaha office. His strengths show in the areas of client service, as a leader for the talent team, and in identifying top talent for our clients and firm. He is responsible for assisting clients through the hiring process by searching for and selecting potential candidates that will fit their current and future business needs. Steve focuses his efforts on the accounting, finance, human resources, and office administrative industries.

Emily Hansen has been promoted to Director of Firm Administration. She continues to increase the administrative team’s impact on firm operations across all locations, playing a key role in accounting process improvements. Her primary responsibilities include developing and implementing internal processes, managing the administrative department, providing client support, and overseeing internal firm events. She works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

Missy Jackson, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Director in Lutz’s Accounting division. Through her time with the firm, Missy has invested substantial efforts and energy in staff development and continues to impact the Omaha tax practice significantly. In addition, she provides solid client service through her problem-solving and relationship skills. She is responsible for providing tax consulting and compliance services to clients in a variety of industries. Missy works remotely from Nashville, TN. 

Justin Korth, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Director in Lutz’s Omaha office. He has delivered top-notch client service and leads several Firm initiatives, all while dedicating time to developing our tax staff. Justin is responsible for individual, business, and fiduciary tax compliance and consulting, estate & business planning, and taxpayer representation on IRS matters. In addition, he oversees our international workforce initiative.

Adam Pfeiffer, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Director. He has provided an elevated level of technical expertise and has proven himself to be a leader in solving ultra-complex tax transactions. In addition, Adam continues to assist in developing our younger tax staff’s ability to spot issues and answer client questions. He is responsible for providing clients with tax consulting and compliance services, with a focus on corporations, partnerships and the real estate industry. Adam works in Lutz’s Omaha office.
