Lutz adds 12 Staff Accountants

Lutz, a Nebraska-based business solutions firm, recently added 12 staff accountants to its Omaha, Grand Island, and Lincoln offices.

Terry Arvie joins the audit department in Lutz’s Omaha office. He is responsible for providing credibility to clients through financial reporting. In addition, he works to maintain a high level of objectivity and confidentiality in all areas for clients in various industries. Arvie previously interned with Lutz during tax seasons 2021 and 2023. Graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he received his master’s degree in accounting.

Tatum Devish joins the tax department in Lutz’s Omaha office. She provides tax consulting and compliance services for clients with a focus on individual and business income tax. Devish previously interned with Lutz during tax seasons 2021, 2022, and 2023. Graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.

Jack Distler joins the tax department in Lutz’s Omaha office. He is responsible for preparing individual and business income tax returns, as well as providing general accounting assistance to clients in a variety of industries. Distler previously interned with Lutz during tax seasons 2022 and 2023. He graduated from Creighton University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Emma Egger joins the tax department in Lutz’s Omaha office. She is responsible for the preparation of individual, business, nonprofit, and fiduciary income tax returns for clients in a variety of industries. Egger previously interned with Lutz during tax season 2022. Graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she received her master’s degree in accounting.

Natalie Janssen joins the Client Advisory Services department in Lutz’s Omaha office. She is responsible for providing outsourced accounting services and accounting assistance, including QuickBooks and payroll compliance. Janssen previously interned with Lutz during tax seasons 2022 and 2023. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a master’s degree in accounting.

Thomas Kerr joins the tax department in Lutz’s Omaha office. He is responsible for preparing individual, fiduciary, and business income tax returns for high-net-worth clients. Kerr previously interned with Lutz during tax seasons 2021, 2022, and 2023. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Braden Myers joins the audit department in Lutz’s Omaha office. He is responsible for providing credibility, objectivity, and confidentiality to clients through efficient and effective financial reporting in a variety of industries. Myers previously interned with Lutz during tax seasons 2022 and 2023. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Connor Riekenberg joins the audit department in Lutz’s Omaha office. He is responsible for providing credibility to clients through financial reporting. In addition, he works to maintain a high level of objectivity and confidentiality in all areas for clients in a variety of industries. Riekenberg interned with Lutz in summer 2021 and 2022. Connor graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Laine SaBell joins the accounting department in Lutz’s Grand Island office. She is responsible for providing credibility to clients through financial reporting and preparing individual and business income tax returns. SaBell previously interned with Lutz during tax season 2022, summer 2022, and tax season 2023. Graduating from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Matthew Sherman joins the audit department in Lutz’s Omaha office. He is responsible for providing objective credibility to clients through financial reporting in a variety of industries. Graduating from Concordia University, he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration.

Xavier Steffensmeier joins the tax department in Lutz’s Omaha office. He is responsible for preparing individual and business income tax returns, as well as providing general accounting assistance to clients in a variety of industries. Steffensmeier previously interned with Lutz during tax season 2023. Graduating from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting.
