Lutz Announces 2024 Associate through Manager Promotions

Lutz, a Nebraska-based business solutions firm, recently announced multiple promotions to manager, senior, and associate roles.

MANAGER

Ty Bardsley, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Manager in Lutz’s Lincoln office. He is responsible for providing tax consulting and compliance services to individuals and businesses with a focus on the real estate industry.

Steve Dorsey has been promoted to Implementation Team Manager in the tech division. He oversees the team responsible for implementing short-term projects, including workstation deployments, software upgrades, email migrations, and phishing/security solutions. Dorsey works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

Will Frei, CPA, has been promoted to Audit Manager in Lutz’s Omaha office. He provides assurance and consulting services to clients in a wide variety of industries including agriculture and transportation. Frei also provides startup financial reporting services and assists founders with fundraising planning, including entity structure and equity compensation.

McKenzie Haase, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Manager. Her responsibilities include providing individual and business income tax consulting and compliance services for clients with a focus in the services and real estate industries. McKenzie also oversees the tax department internship program and assists with recruiting and development. Haase works in Lutz's Omaha office.

Kaylee Henne, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Manager in Lutz’s Omaha office. While providing tax compliance and consulting services to clients with a focus on multi-state filers, Kaylee specializes in agribusiness, hospitals and healthcare entities, and transportation industries.

Drew Hoffmann, CPA, has been promoted to Audit Manager in Lutz’s Lincoln office. He is responsible for providing audit and assurance services to clients in a wide variety of industries. In addition, Hoffmann focuses on financial reporting and analysis and business consulting services.

Taylor Hoyt, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Manager in Lutz’s Omaha office. In addition to providing tax consulting and compliance services, she manages the daily operations of Lutz’s international workforce. Taylor also oversees training and development for the tax department interns and new staff.

Nikki Kastl, CPA, has been promoted to Audit Manager. She is responsible for providing credibility and assurance to clients through financial reporting with a focus on the nonprofit industry. Kastl works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

Leslie Masek, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Manager in Lutz’s Lincoln office. She specializes in tax research, foreign tax matters, and client relationships. Masek provides tax compliance, planning, and preparation services, focusing on the real estate and services industries.

Dan Mendoza has been promoted to Implementation Team Manager in the tech division. He manages assigned projects, provides support for direct reports, and works on internal initiatives. Dan specializes in scoping new solutions for clients, focusing on network design. Mendoza works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

SENIOR

Abi Alberts has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the client advisory services department in Lutz's Omaha office. She specializes in providing outsourced accounting services and general accounting assistance to clients, including QuickBooks support and payroll compliance.

Joe Bindl, CPA, has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the audit department. He is responsible for performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in various industries. Joe also helps with recruiting and supports the internship program. Bindl works in Lutz’s Omaha office.

Trent Brown has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the tax department in Lutz's Lincoln office. He specializes in offering tax consulting and compliance services to clients with a focus on individual and business tax returns, particularly in the real estate industry.

Emily Coleman has been promoted to Client Resource Specialist. Her responsibilities include assisting tax professionals in obtaining and processing information for accounting clients and providing general administrative support for multiple departments as needed. Coleman works in Lutz's Lincoln office.

Samantha Dennison, CPA, has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the tax department in Lutz's Grand Island office. She prepares individual and business returns and specializes in the nonprofit industry. Additionally, Dennison assists with training and supporting interns and international employees.

Elise Free has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the healthcare department. She is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and cost reports for healthcare clients. She focuses on providing outsourced accounting services to Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs). Free works in Lutz's Lincoln office.

Braxton Goacher has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the audit department in Lutz's Lincoln office. He performs financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, with a focus on employee benefit plans and Sanitary Improvement Districts (SIDs).

Andrea Hagedorn has been promoted to Client Resource Specialist. She assists the accounting division in obtaining and processing information for its clients and providing general administrative support as needed. Andrea works closely with the tax operations team to develop processes and maintain efficient workflows. She is based in Lutz's Omaha office.

Lauren Leapley, CPA, has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the audit department in Lutz’s Omaha office. She specializes in audits and reviews, particularly for nonprofit organizations, and provides expertise in the manufacturing and distribution industry. Leapley also contributes to recruiting and supports the internship program.

Robin Maher, CPA, has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the healthcare department in Lutz's Omaha office. She is responsible for preparing cost reports, delivering accurate financial statements, and providing healthcare consulting services to clients with a focus on Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs).

Alyssa Miller has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the tax department. She prepares a variety of business and individual tax returns, specializing in the agriculture industry. Alyssa also contributes to leading the internship program in Grand Island and assists with recruiting efforts. Miller works in Lutz's Grand Island office.

Jack Moylan has been promoted to Senior Account Manager in Lutz's Omaha office. In his role, he establishes and maintains business relationships and serves as the primary point of contact for Lutz Tech customer needs. Jack helps drive technology initiatives for clients and collaborates with leadership on the strategy for keeping their technology practices up to date, secure, and effective. Additionally, he negotiates contracts, communicates the progress of IT initiatives, and ensures project objectives are met on time.

Jimmy Nekola has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the client advisory services department. He provides outsourced accounting services, compiles financial statements, and offers QuickBooks support to clients. In addition, he specializes in translating financials for business owners, with a focus on the construction and restaurant industries. Nekola works in Lutz's Omaha office.

Lauren Pederson has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the client advisory services department. She provides outsourced accounting services, general accounting support, and financial statement preparation for clients across various industries. Pederson works remotely.

Taylor Prinz has been promoted to Senior Client Service Associate in the financial division in Lutz’s Omaha office. She serves as a liaison between advisors, clients, and custodians through all aspects of the wealth management process.

Spencer Stenger, CPA, has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the audit department. He provides credibility and assurance to clients through efficient and effective financial reporting, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution and real estate industries. Stenger works in Lutz's Omaha office.

Mali Thramer, MBA, has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the tax department in Lutz's Omaha office. She specializes in state and local tax matters, assisting clients with sales tax audits and the Imagine Nebraska Act program. Thramer also prepares personal property tax returns and sales and use tax returns.

Hanna Vasina has been promoted to SIP Team Lead in the tech division. She specializes in IT support and project management, with a focus on SIP (Service Implemented Projects). Additionally, she oversees Office 365 renewals, manages shipping and receiving processes, and coordinates restore services. Vasina works in Lutz's Omaha office.

Ryan Zelasko, CPA, has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the audit department in Lutz's Omaha office. He conducts financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, with expertise in SID and employee benefit plan audits. Zelasko specializes in the manufacturing and distribution, software and technology, and transportation industries.

Tucker Zeleny has been promoted to Senior Data Analyst in the tech division. He specializes in data engineering and data science, helping clients develop their analytics strategies. He is responsible for exploring, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data to support customer needs, with expertise in the agribusiness, construction, and manufacturing and distribution industries. Zeleny works in Lutz's Lincoln office.

ASSOCIATE

Haley McGargill has been promoted to Learning & Development Coordinator in Lutz’s Omaha office. She coordinates internal and external training programs, helps lead continuing education documentation efforts, and facilitates the CPE reporting activity. McGargill also assists with the firm's feedback process and maintains Lutz's course offerings for state sponsorship.
