Remembering Russ Smith

Russell (Russ) Smith, a Tax & Consulting Director in Lutz's SALT (State and Local Tax) department, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on January 2, 2024, at the age of 50.

Russ was a dedicated employee of Lutz for over 18 years and embodied the company's core value of "Brainpower." His remarkable ability to navigate complex financial matters, from state income tax planning to specialized local incentive programs, made him an invaluable asset to the company. His expertise and humor enriched the lives of colleagues and clients alike, leaving a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.
