Mark Duren

Mark Duren, Business Consultant & Former Managing Shareholder, began his career in 1985 and joined Lutz in 1992. As Managing Shareholder from 2015 to May of 2025 and a longtime member of the firm's board of directors, Mark plays a pivotal role in shaping Lutz's strategic direction. Under his leadership, the firm doubled its workforce, grew into Nebraska's largest business solutions provider, and consistently ranked among the nation's Top 100 firms and "Best Places to Work."

Advising clients and internal teams, Mark applies his strategic mindset to business consulting and succession planning. He continues supporting the firm’s leadership and business development efforts while mentoring the next generation, finding fulfillment in the variety of his clients' work and helping others succeed.

Mark lives in Bennington, NE, with his wife, Johna. Outside the office, he can be found boating, hunting, working out, and spending time with his four children and their growing families.
