Sharissa Fernau

Sharissa Fernau, Operations Director of Accounting, began her career in 2011. With a foundation in tax preparation at Lutz before transitioning to operations in 2015, she brings valuable firsthand knowledge of the firm's core services to her role. Her experience gives her unique insights into how processes affect both client service and team efficiency. 

Focusing on operational effectiveness and technological integration, Sharissa systematically evaluates and enhances procedures across the firm's various departments. She implements streamlined workflows, incorporates new technologies, and develops consistent methodologies that improve productivity. Sharissa particularly values seeing the tangible results of her work—when improved processes lead to more effective teams, better work-life balance, and enhanced client experiences. 

At Lutz, Sharissa harnesses her strengths in achievement, discipline, and consistency to drive organizational advancement. Her focused approach and inclusive leadership style have been instrumental in implementing effective systems and training programs that enhance the firm's operational capabilities. 

Sharissa lives in Omaha, NE, with her husband and two children. Outside the office, you can find her exercising and cooking.
