Lutz Gives Back + 12 Days of Lutzmas 2025

The “12 Days of Lutzmas” is an annual tradition that brings our team together to support the communities where we live and work. Each December, employees are given multiple opportunities to give back through hands-on service, donation drives, and local partnerships that make a meaningful impact during the holiday season. 

During this year’s “12 Days of Lutzmas,” our team rallied behind a variety of nonprofit organizations across Nebraska, contributing time, resources, and financial support. These efforts reflect our continued commitment to strengthening our communities by living out our promise to Mind What Matters. Together in 2025, our team: 

1. Collected donations and wrapped 30 care packages for patients at the Methodist Cancer Center. 
2. Raised $3,500+ through a virtual donation drive competition, benefiting Food Bank of the Heartland (Omaha and Grand Island) and the Food Bank of Lincoln. 
3. Collected 2,055 diapers and 1,664 wipes for the Women’s Center for Advancement. 
4. Served a meal to 40 families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. 
5. Provided holiday gifts to 50 children through Completely Kids. 
6. Prepared more than 1,400 meals with Project Hunger in Grand Island. 
7. Packaged 3,456 meals at Mercy Meals in Grand Island.
8. Had 20 volunteers support Community Action Partnership in Lincoln through toy distribution, cleaning projects, and administrative assistance. 
9. Adopted a family in need in Grand Island by sending gifts to spread holiday cheer.  
10. Volunteered at the Heart Ministry Center in Omaha by helping community members shop for shelf-stable and perishable food items.  
11. A winter clothing drive for those in need of cold-weather gear for Northstar Foundation in Omaha, Hope Harbor in Grand Island, and People’s City Mission in Lincoln.  
12. Carried out random acts of kindness in Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island by distributing gift cards to help individuals cover gas and grocery expenses during the holidays. 

We are proud of the collective efforts made this season and appreciate everyone who contributed their time, donations, and support to make 2025 another successful year of giving back!
